Description: The LOMA feature class contains features for each address for which a LOMA has been issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). A LOMA can affect flood zone determination without a map change. The feature class was created by interpreting the information contained on each LOMA and mapping the location(s) for each of the addresses cited in the document. A PDF of the LOMA document was associated to the feature as an attachment. For addresses having more than one LOMA, only a single feature was created and additional attachments were associated to the feature. This feature class contains “historical” LOMA location/documents not revalidated by FEMA.
Description: This feature class represents locations of properties that should have elevation certificates in Baltimore County. The points were compiled based on the address information provided on the certificate or other source material. Scanned copies of elevation certificates and other relevant documents are stored in the database as attachments. The attached documents are in PDF format.
Description: The LOMR feature class contains features for each address for which a LOMR has been issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). A LOMR usually affects flood zone determination for a specific portion of a FIRM panel(s). The feature class was created by interpreting the information contained on each LOMR and mapping the location(s) for each reviision area in the document. A PDF of the LOMR document was associated to the feature as an attachment.

Description: The spatial location of the points in this feature class was determined from the study document. The locations are somewhat general and are only meant to guide users to the area of the study. Georeferencing of the plans within the study document was not performed. In general, points were placed at the furthest downstream design point and were always snapped to a hydrology line. In cases where the study did not specify the design point, the point was snapped to an intersection of the property boundary and a hydrology line along which a cross section was taken. In cases where the stream did not actually intersect the property, the point was placed near the furthest downstream cross section location. The attribute data for this feature class was compiled primarily from existing flood study feature classes developed by __________? and secondarily from study document itself.

Description: This feature class was created by exporting out PROBLEM_CODE = DCOMP from Cassworks table INF_SERVICE_REQUEST_VIEW and joining location table INF_SR_LOCATION to create X,Y Events layer which was then exported to this feature class and trimmed of constituent, employee and cost information. There were some service requests that did not have an X,Y location. These were geocoded from the problem address fields using Baltimore County's composite geocoder. A COORD_SOURCE field was added to identify which points came from X,Y locations in Cassworks, which were gecooded and which were geocoded using only a street name.Work orders from Cassworks were not used because they were essentially duplicates of the service requests.

Description: Point features represent the general area where flooding has been observed with more descriptive location information available in the LOCATION field (e.g. affected street name, start and end points along a street, etc.). New points will be added when additional flooding locations are identified and provided to DPWT-GIS.

Description: This point feature class represents high water marks captured by Baltimore County DPWT - Surveys section in November of 2003 following hurricane Isabel. Elevation values are in NAVD88. Most points have a PDF picture attachment available showing the location of the point surveyed.
